TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Administration continues to prepare various preliminaries after Jakarta is assigned as a host of Asian Games 2018. One of the efforts is providing the transportation facilities and venue to support the successful of the biggest sport event in the Asia.
Djarot Saiful Hidajat, Vice Governor of Jakarta said, transportation is one of crucial part, because thousands athletes and officials from 45 countries will come to Jakarta. "We also talk about transportation and accommodation to completed on target because this event will be joined by 45 countries with thousands athletes and officials," said Djarot at Jakarta City Hall as quoted by Antara News.
Djarot continued, the MRT construction must run as scheduled so it can be operated in upcoming 2017. In addition, his side also coordinates with central government about the train construction in the airport. "The train in airport should be constructed soon. It is the responsibility of PT KAI," added Djarot.
For the athletes guesthouses, at least there are two lands that ready to be built as in Kemayoran and BSD. His side will hold further discussion about the sports branches and venue placements due to some city that also become host of Asian Games 2018 as Palembang and Bandung.
