Energy Minister: Prioritize SKK Migas Structure Overhaul

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The government will revamp the organization structure of the Special Task Force of Upstream Oil and Gas (SKK Migas).


Energy Minister Sudirman Said says that SKK Migas chief Amien Sunaryadi has made some proposals regarding the overhaul, including submitting the names of candidates to fill vacant posts in the task force. However, Sudirman asked Amien to propose for a new organizational structure before submitting candidates' names.


Once a new organizational structure is formed, Sudirman will immediately ask for Amien's input on potential deputy and division head candidates. Sudirman said that he will ask for three candidates for every one position.


The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources dismissed Johanes Widjonarko from his post as SKK Migas deputy, based on Amien Sunaryadi's recommendation.


Johannes received the dismissal letter on January 14, 2015. To date, Amien had not appointed Johannes' successor.
