HIPMI chairman Raja Sapta Oktohari said that the AEC would bring huge benefits for Indonesia’s economic growth.

“We actively do dissemination to regions across the country about the importance to be prepared to welcome the AEC,” he said in a press conference of the opening of the 5th HIPMI National Assembly in Bandung, Saturday, January 10, 2015.

Raja said that the AEC would indirectly give positive impacts for young entrepreneurs, as it would bring potentials and opportunities. He also said that demographically, Indonesia is the very appropriate as the center of production. Therefore, he said there must be a thorough planning in welcoming the AEC so that Indonesia can compete with other countries.

"We must have a grand design in creating and promoting entrepreneurship," he said, adding that one of the obstacles faces is that the people do not really understand what AEC is about.

"Most of them see the AEC as a threat,” he said.
