Jokowi Amazed by South Korean Shipbuilding Company

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) visited Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) in Busan, South Korea.
“It has an amazing technology,” Jokowi wrote on Daewoo Shipbuilding’s guest book on Thursday, December 11.
Daewoo Shipbuilding has been cooperating with Indonesia’s shipbuilding company PT PAL. Both companies are working on three submarines odered by the Indonesian government. The total value of cooperation is around US$250 million.
Jokowi is accompanied by Economic Coordinator Minister Sofyan Djalil, Foreign Affairs Minister Retno L.P. Marsudi, State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureacracy Reform Minister Yuddy Chrisnandi and Head of State Intelligence Agency Marciano Norman.
