TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - World Champion Germany won against Spain by a goal in a friendly at Municipal de Balaidos, earlier today. German midfielder, now playing for Real Madrid, Toni Kroos scored the only goal that night, shattering Spanish hope for a victory.
Despite playing as an away team, Der Panzer prevailed in ball possession, nailing 52 percent of all. La Furia Roja, on the other hand, managed to score 9 shots - 6 of which were on goal – yet none of it changed the scoreline.
The defeat has certainly been another blow for Spain, particularly after their horrendous performance in this summer’s World Cup. The former World Champion are deemed to have lost their persona as one of few world elites, following a series of discontenting results. In response of such, helmsman Vicente del Bosque only said that Spain are in the middle of a transitional period.
