TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard said that he is still far from hanging his shoes. The 34-year-old midfielder has said that he will still play next season, be it for Liverpool or not.
Gerrard's statement came as his contract in Anfield expires this summer. The player has spent 17 seasons with Liverpool. With his contract coming to an end, no deal of extension has been reached between the player and the club.
Speaking to press, Gerrard said that he will focus on finishing this season. In Anfield, the attacking midfielder has scored nine trophies, including the prestigious Champions League trophy in 2005. Regardless, the player has yet had a touch on Premier League title.
