Jokowi Plays Soccer with Jakarta Officials
Rabu, 15 Oktober 2014 17:54 WIB
TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - Elected President Joko Widodo was out in a sport event with some Jakarta officials this morning, playing indoor soccer in Pluit Reservoir. "We are just playing soccer, to break some sweats," said Jokowi.
Jokowi stepped in the field, still wearing his office shoes, playing as a goalkeeper. Five minutes playing, no goal was scored. Jokowi then left his post, playing as a striker. Two minutes in the front field, Jokowi scored an opening goal.
After scoring, Jokowi left the field, saying that the game exhausted him. He then was surrounded by other officials, all wanting to take a picture. Regardless, the soon-to-be president denied that it was meant as a farewell for the officials.
