TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Daisy Primayanti, the vice president for corporate communications at Freeport Indonesia, has yet to comment on the investigation results of the Grasberg Mine incident that was pitched by the Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Ministry on Saturday, September 27, 2014.

“I haven’t received the information [on the investigation results] yet,” Daisy Primayanti told Tempo on Thursday, October 2, 2014.

Earlier, the investigation team from the ESDM Ministry found two errors made by Freeport in the accident at the Grasberg Mine that killed four employees and injured five others.

“There were managerial and operational errors [made by Freeport], but it was more likely [caused by] operational errors,” Bambang Susigit, the technical and environmental director at the mineral and coal office, said.

Bambang explained that the investigation team would return to Jakarta on Friday, October 3, 2014, and release the results by early next week. However, Bambang balked at revealing the responsible individuals for the accident.

“The conclusions of the investigation will have to wait for reports from the team,” he said.
