Mural Painting, Fireworks Mark Bandung 204th Anniversary

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Tens of university students in Bandung working together to paint murals in the celebration of Bandung 204th anniversary, yesterday. The communities from several campuses painted the wall of PT Kereta Api on Jalan Perintis Kemerdakaan with murals themed individuality, road signs, and scenery of the City of Flowers.
Mural painting will also be part of the Art Market held by Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in the upcoming November 23. One of the art market’s member, Nyimas Laula said that there will be at least 80 students from six campuses taking part.
The mural will be painted on the walls of an old building in front of PT Kereta Api Indonesia head office, and also the 30-meter walls along the side of the railway. Motives to be painted are flowers, characters, and buildings.
Bandung celebrated its 204th anniversary by holding various events such as culinary event in Jl. Dago, vehicle parade, and fireworks exhibition.
