TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jordanian government has offered investment opportunities for Indonesian businessmen in the property and infrastructure sectors, as stated by State Enterprises Minister Dahlan Iskan after a meeting with representatives from the Jordanian government.

"Among the conflict-torn countries in Middle East, Jordan is one of the safest countries. Many people from Iraq and Syria go there," said Dahlan on Thursday, August 28, 2014.

The Jordanian government also offers Indonesian business to cooperate in constructing four-star hotels in the Dead Sea because currently, there are only five-stars hotels in the location.

Dahlan said that Wijaya Karja had already made an investment on liquid petroleum gas in Jordan. However, investment was not successful because the timing was not right. Another state-owned company that had already cooperated with Jordan is Pupuk Indonesia.
