TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Sunu Widyatmoko, the president director of AirAsia Indonesia, said the cancelation of a plan to relocate immigration services from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2 at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport would not affect the standard operation procedures for AirAsia’s international flights.
"Check-in counter at Terminal 3 will still be closed 45 minutes before departure," Sunu said in a press release received by Tempo earlier today.
International flight passengers are expected to arrive at the airport two hours before flight departures. AirAisa, Sunu said, appreciated the Immigration office at Soekarno Hatta Airport for maintaining its immigration services at Terminal 3.
Currently AirAsia provides 30 flights a day from and to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, serving a total number of 4,000 passengers on a daily basis.
The airport management, PT Angkasa Pura II, echoed AirAsia appreciation to the Immigration Office for canceling the plan.
"We appreciate the decision taken by the Immigration office," Angkasa Pura II Corporate Secretary Daryanto said.
The process of international passengers' departure at Terminal 3 will now return to normal.
