TEMPO.CO, Bandung - US aircraft component company, UTC Aerospace Systems, will invest US$800 million (around Rp9 trillion) for Bandung Teknopollis project. "The company said it would invest in the project last Saturday," said Bandung Mayor, Ridwan Kamil, yesterday.
Bandung Teknopollis is Ridwan Kamil's project to move Bandung urban center to Gede Bage area. Ridwan said the US will invest in the near future. "They want their technology to be completed in 2015."
With that large amount of investment, there will be advanced technologies in Bandung that will help the project. "Advanced technologies complete with sophisticated human resources here," said the mayor.
The company is also planning on building a factory in Bandung with a 5-hectare land. Ridwan claimed there would be no problem with the land. The most important thing is the Bandung Teknopolis concept aims at gaining benefits from global economy and develop technology.
