Jakarta to Handle Monorail Business Plan

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Jakarta Monorail (JM) is going to handover its business plan about monorail depot construction to the Jakarta Provincial Government on upcoming May 5. The depot itself will be as wide as 200,000 square meters and located in Tomang Park area, West Jakarta, as reported by Antara News.


"The point is that we only need to calculate about the price PT JM wants to rent our land. If the calculation fit, monorail will be built," stated Jakarta Deputy Governor Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama at City Hall on Monday.


However, Ahok admitted that he cannot confirm yet when the cooperation agreement between the Jakarta Provincial Government and PT JM will be signed.


"I don't know when. We just need to calculate how much the rental property is. Later, PT JM will get 80 percent profit from the commercial area renting and 20 percent from [monorail] ticket sales," uttered Ahok.
