TEMPO.CO, Tehran - The United Nations will release a report this week, certifying that Iran's ability to make a nuclear bomb has been greatly reduced. The statement, as reported in the Associated Press, stated that Iran has diluted half of its material that can be refined into weapons-grade uranium.
The move is part of Iran's commitments in a Geneva nuclear deal with six world powers, namely the United States, Russia, England, France, China, and Germany. The agreement mandates Iran to stop its uranium enrichment program in exchange for a partial lifting of sanctions that has crippled the nation's economy.
Western nations have long considered that Iran nuclear program was intended as a cover up towards the development of nuclear weapon. Iran denied the allegation, claiming that the program was carried out to supply the country's nuclear power plant.
