TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Public Work Ministry has begun the first development process of the Cinere-Jagorawi (Cijago) toll road section II, which connects Jalan Bogor Raya and Kukusan, Depok, on Thursday, March 20, 2014.
According to Public Works Minister Djoko Kirmanto, this project will improve road capacity in the Jabodetabek area, especially Bogor and Depok. "This toll road will also reduce economic activities centered in Jakarta," he said.
The 14.64-kilometer toll road is divided into three sections. The first section is 3.7 kilometers long and connect Jagorawi toll road and Jalan Bogor Raya. The second section connects Cimanggis-Kukusan with 6.4 kilometers length. The third section the Kukusan Beji-Limo section that stretches 4.94 kilometers long.
Djoko said that the Cijago toll road project is being carried out under the Public Private Partnership scheme, which allows the government to increase economic growth by accelerating infrastructure development.
