TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Deputy Governor Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama, said that he will still be coordinating with Jakarta Governor Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo on the Governor's Team for Development Acceleration (TGuPP). "More details will be explained by the governor," Ahok said at City Hall.
The Jakarta provincial government yesterday assigned seven agency chiefs as members of the TGuPP, an institution in charge of giving inputs, suggestions, and considerations to the governor and deputy governor in implementing Jakarta provincial government program.
Ahok said more members will help in accelerating development of Jakarta. The main duty and function of TGuPP is to oversee agencies and report their monitoring results to the governor.
According to Ahok, TGuPP members will report whenever they find agency chiefs failed to carry out their duties properly. Ahok will not hesitate in firing members or agency chiefs that commit severe violation.
