TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Iwan Priadi (44) was arrested on Sunday Morning in Cijeruk Hilir, Tasikmalaya. Tasikmalaya City Police mentioned that the fish seller owned the motorbike that was reportedly seen in the police shooting scene at Pondok Aren, South Tangerang Selatan. The shooting incident took the lives of two police officer, Kus Hendratna and Ahmad Maulana.
Iwan's wife, Dede Kurniasih, said that her husband was arrested early in the morning while he was still sleeping. "There is no warrant," she said. Iwan was arrested by the anti-terror detachment 88.
In Iwan's room, various anti-liberal posters can be seen in display. Dede also admitted that her husband is an active member of Islamic Defender Front (FPI).
The police are still investigating the shooting case, stating that they cannot explain Iwan's arrest yet to the public.
