Asian Games Opening; Spectator Expected to Arrive Early at 3 PM

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Asian Games Organizing Committee (INASGOC) appealed the spectators of the opening ceremony to arrive early in Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Jakarta at 3 pm.
“We will hold pre-show at 5 pm before the main show at 7 pm. Besides, there are bazaars and other activities in GBK complex,” said Inasgoc media and public relations director Danny Buldansyah in Jakarta, Friday, August 17.
In addition to the preshow, Danny said, by coming early the spectator could avoid traffic density and the line to exchange the paper ticket.
“We are worried about congestion outside GBK before the opening ceremony and we have only provided one booth to exchange paper ticket. The security will also be tightened during the opening," he explained.

INASGOC will open gates of GBK main stadium at 3 pm and that will be closed at 6 pm or before the presence of VIP guests in the party of pan-Asian multi-sports event.
INASGOC provides parking areas in Sudirman Central Business District despite the public is demanded to use public transportation heading to GBK complex.
Spectators of 2018 Asian Games opening ceremony can enter GBK complex through Gate 5, 6, and 7 across Jl. Jenderal Sudirman.
The schedule of the opening ceremony on Saturday, August 18, is as follows:
5 pm: Preshow (120 minutes, not broadcasted)
7 pm: Opening remark
7:45 pm: Athletes Parade (45 minutes)
8:30 pm: Protocol (15 minutes)
8:45 pm: Performances (75 minutes)
10 pm: Closing remark
