TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Energy and Mineral Resources Ignasius Jonan confirmed that there is no Premium gasoline stock in a number of gas stations. The minister said he has repeatedly reproached Pertamina about the situation.
“We have reprimanded Pertamina, telling them that they must continue to supply Premium,” Jonan said here on Wednesday, April 4.
He said the government wants Pertamina to bring back Premium supply to the market soon.
“If they don’t distribute it, we will give then sanctions,” he said.
Pertamina has been assigned to distribute 7.5 kiloliters of Premium gasoline per year, as stated in Presidential Regulation No. 191/2014.
The government has also increased the margin for Premium distribution by Rp100 per liter for Java.
“So they have to do it,” Jonan asserted.
The minister did not say what causes the scarcity but ensured that it is not because Pertamina wants to boost Pertalite sales.
