TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Tourism Ministry said that the Chinese government has revised its travel advice to Bali. China had issued a flight ban to Bali in relation to the volcanic activity of Mount Agung until January 4, 2018, but ministry's official said the ban has been lifted.
"The ban has been lifted. As per December 26, 2017, all airlines can fly to Bali," the ministry's deputy assistant for Asia Pacific market development Vinsensius Jemadu said on Thursday, Dec. 28.

Vincent predicts that Bali tourism will be rejuvenated now that the flight ban has been lifted by the Chinese government.
China's flight ban had affected Bali's tourism industry, given how the country's tourists are a significant stimulus to the growth of international passengers. China is still a major contributor to foreign tourist arrivals to Bali as well as other destinations in Indonesia.

A number of Chinese and Taiwanese airlines serving direct flights to Bali include Air China, China Southern, Eva Air, Xiamen Airlines and China Eastern.
