Densus 88 Captures 8 Terrorist Suspects; 2 are Children

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Anti-terror Special Detachment 88 had captured eight Indonesians suspected as members of the militia group of Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), two of whom are minors. The suspects were arrested at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport last night after they were deported from Turkey, Sunday, Dec. 16.

The eight suspects are Dede Anumg Somantri (22), Ahmad Zakariya (21), Murobit Al Muhaarik (23),  Saphitri Sanuni Syukur (40), Jemmatil Aulia Jabbar, (11), Azfan Maulana Jabbar (7), Yusuf Abdur Rohman (19), and Muhammad Iqbal (21).

They were taken to the immigration room after arriving at Terminal 2D of Soekarno-Hatta Airport. After they were interrogated by Customs and Densus 88 Police officers, they were taken to Mako Brimob in Kelapa Dua, Depok.

On Wednesday, the Densus 88 also arrested a suspected terrorist at a helmet shop in Bekasi. A number of documents were seized from the location of the arrest including three passports, three cell phones, a notary deed, a mobile SIM card, a citizen's ID card, a marriage book, and a bank book.
