TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - An ex-situ wildlife conservation institution (outside of natural habitat), Taman Safari Indonesia Cisarua has received conservation fund donations for Orangutans (Pongo pygmaeus) from a private company.
"The donation is very helpful in the effort to conserve Orangutans, that have been performed by Taman Safari Indonesia (TSI)," said TSI Cisarua Director Tony Sumampau in Cisarua, Bogor regency, West Java, Sunday, 27/8.
Accompanied by TSI Public Relations Representative, Cisarua Yulius H Suprihardo, he explained that the donation is expected to be a good example for others to do the same."As a form of concern for orangutan conservation", he said.

The contribution to orangutan conservation was donated by PT Rehau Indonesia, a private company engaged in the field of plastic management.
The donation is related to the commemoration of International Orangutan Day, celebrated every August 19th.
The donation of conservation donations was conducted in the primate area of TTI Cisarua by PT Rehau Indonesia Plant Manager, David Koandi, to the General Manager of TSI Cisarua, Okke Nurya.
Also witnessed by Tony Sumampau, orangutan curator Imam Purwadi, the orangutan keeper (nurse) at TSI.
At this event, fruit arranged in a beautiful way was gifted to the two orangutans at TSI, named Livia and Lindung.
