5.1 Magnitude Earthquake Hits West Bengkulu, No Tsunami Warning

TEMPO.CO, Bandung - A 5.1 magnitude earthquake hit the west coast of Bengkulu and Enggano Island today at 1:21 am local time. The epicenter of the quake was located in the Indian Ocean; no tsunami warning was issued.
The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), said that the epicenter of the quake was at 102,01° east longitude and 4,23° south latitude, with a magnitude of 5.5 at a depth of 63 kilometers, 55 kilometers southwest of Bengkulu City.
The earthquake did not cause a tsunami. There were no immediate reports of damage.
