TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Niantic, the company behind the success of Pokemon GO, revealed that the level of acceptance for the game that was launched in July, 2016, has gotten well over 750 million downloads.
“This is a great first year for Pokemon GO, thanks to the spirit and dedication of global Trainer communities,” said Niantic CEO, John Hanke.
Pokemon GO managed to surpass 500 million downloads in September 2016, which was only a couple of months following its release.
Niantic considers to celebrate its first anniversary by launching a number of in-game and in-reality activities.
“As part of our first anniversary, we will provide a chance for players or trainers in a global sense, to have fun, hang-out, in reality and many more,” Hanke said.
