TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) together with Airbus Helicopters handed over a number of helicopters to the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI). Specifically one H215M, two units of H225M, two Fennec combat helicopters, and two AS565 MBe Panther in basic its platforms, from Airbus’ first batch of production.
Airbus Helicopters Managing Director, Ludovic Boistot, revealed that the ability to meet an earlier scheduled deadline for Indonesia’s defense program demanded high levels of cooperation and commitment from the industry.
“Having partners that share the same values and impulse is a must. And we’ve found that partner in PTDI,” He said on Wednesday, March 29, 2017.
From every helicopter that was handed over, a number of them were completed one year ahead of the scheduled deadline. An earlier delivery emphasizes Airbus Helicopters’ commitment in supporting Indonesia’s defense industry.
Before handing over the helicopters to its intended units, PTDI will first equip them with a number of tools for domestic key missions. “We really appreciate the trust given to us by Indonesia’s Defense Ministry to provide our best solution and service in order to support Indonesia’s aerospace programs,” he said.
Meanwhile CEO of PTDI, Budi Santoso, felt elated that the company is able to fulfill its promises to their clients. The earlier delivery reflects a strong and dependable partnership throughout the past decades.
The contract includes 11 units of AS565 MBe Panther for the Indonesian Navy that will be equipped with an anti-submarine weapons system, including a dipping sonar and a number of torpedo.
