Budi said that lowering the number of trucks and trailers is considered to be effective in alleviating congestions during homecoming period. "[The ban] will reduce congestions significantly," said Budiyanto.
The ban will be imposed on trucks, trailers, containers and other vehicles that have more than two wheel axles. However, the ban excludes fuel trucks, trucks carrying staple foods, milk trucks, postal trucks, export-import trucks, and trucks transporting motorcycles for homecomers.
