TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The world has just lost Nelson Mandela, an inspiring figure ever, who died in 95 years old. The symbol of the world reconciliation had struggled long enough against a disease. The life story of the Nobel for Peace achiever had several times depicted into movies that many generations can still enjoy:
1. Long Walk to Freedom
'Long Walk to Freedom' raised the journey of Mandela since he was only a boy, until he had been elected as the President of South Africa. The key scene in the movie is where Mandela was convicted as a terrorist and sent to jail. Directed by Justin Chadwick and starred by British actor Idris Elba, the 'Long Walk to Freedom' had just been released last November.
2. Invictus
'Invictus' is adapted from a book entitled 'Playing with the Enemy: Nelson Mandela and the Game a Nation'. The movie was released in 2009 and directed by Clint Eastwood. Morgan Freeman played as Nelson Mandela in this movie.
3. Goodbye Bafana
The movie was made in 2007 and starred by Dennis Haysbert as Mandela. In United States, the movie was circulated in DVDs woih different title, which is 'The Color of Freedom'.
4. Winnie Mandela
The movie explored the love story of Nelson Mandela with his ex-wife, Winnie. Jennifer Hudson played as Winnie and Terence Howard as Mandela. The movie first hit the big screen in 2011 in Toronto.
