Tito Karnavian`s Advises to Brimob Members in Political Year

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - National Police Chief Gen. Tito Karnavian advised the Mobile Brigade or Brimob Members about the anticipation of the brigade in the political year, especially during the 2019 Elections campaign period.
“There will be many challenges, there are still activities related to politics, of course, there will be the vulnerability,” said Tito at the National Police Mobile Brigade Headquarters, Depok, Wednesday, November 14.
Tito, in his remarks on the 73rd anniversary of the National Police Mobile Brigade, said that the challenge faced by Brimob personnel was about securing the mass of the campaign.
Tito said the potential for conflict could also arise when and after the vote counting. “The security must be carried out until after the counting,” Tito said.
Tito also requested that the Brimob force in the region to be prepared when there is a critical condition. Because, said Tito, emergency conditions are not only due to conflicts during the political event but also natural disasters that will affect the running of the political agenda.
According to Tito Karnavian, the Brimob Corps is a force that is the mainstay of the Indonesian Police in handling critical conditions, demonstrations to natural disasters.
