TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The General Election Commission (KPU) suggests the 2019 election participants immediately submit the initial report of campaign funds (LADK). KPU commissioner Hasyim Asyari said a participant who was late to file the report would receive a sanction.
“The sanction is the annulment as election participant in the respective region,” said Hasyim at the KPU office, Jakarta, Friday, September 21.
The 2019 election participant is divided into three categories: political party in central, province, and city/regency level; regional representatives council (DPD) candidate; and presidential and vice presidential candidate. “They all should submit LADK on September 23,” Hasyim said.
However, the sanction would not valid for presidential and vice presidential candidate that late to file the report. “The regulation is not stipulated an administrative sanction of participation annulment for presidential and vice presidential candidate.”
Hasyim added election participants would have seven days to correct the report after it was submitted, which was no longer than September 23. The initial report of campaign funds (LADK) was regulated in Article 338 (1) of Law No. 7/2017 on the general election.
