BNN Seizes Illegal Drugs Ordered by Salemba Prison Inmates

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) and BNN Banten Province on Monday, August 27, confiscated crystal meth and ecstasy pills in Tangerang, Banten. The illegal drugs allegedly ordered by inmates of Salemba Prison, Central Jakarta.
“The suspect has been arrested, namely Mulyadi alias Aryanto as the sales marketer in Indo Cargo Expres, Jl. Garuda Baru Ceper, Tangerang city, Banten province,” said BNN’s eradication unit deputy Insp. Gen. Arman Depari via a short message received by Antara on Wednesday, August 29.
The joint officers seized seven packages of 1-kilogram crystal meth and 65,000 ecstasy pills in 13 packages.
Arman explained the suspect testified that the owner was Ariyanto who was serving imprisonment time in Salemba detention center, Jakarta.
“We are currently investigating the case further,” Arman underlined, adding that BNN would hold a release of the illegal drugs case at 10 AM today, August 29 in the BNN Banten office.
