TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Managing Director of Grab Indonesia Ridzki Kramadibrata questioned the plan to rally by its motorcycle taxi drivers partner on the opening day of the 2018 Asian Games on August 18. He questioned whether some of the group of driver partners who still demanded the tariff increase actually represented the true partner of the Grab driver.
“And, whether their demands are really to fight for the welfare of the Grab drivers partner,” Ridzki said on Thursday, July 19.
Earlier, thousands of online motorcycle taxis will hold a rally at the opening of the 2018 Asian Games. They demand the applicators, Gojek and Grab to return the tariff to Rp3,000 per kilometer (km).
Currently, the tariffs set by the application company range from Rp1,200 to Rp1,600 per km. In addition, they asked the government to immediately issue a legal protection for online motorcycle taxis.
Through various management meetings and communications with the various partner communities of Grab drivers, various inputs from them have been heard. “And we also convey that concerning the tariff increase that is the current aspiration of partners,” Ridzki said.
Ridzki explained that Grab also always open two-way communication channels regularly to receive aspirations, feedback, and input from its drivers. “And we encourage the drivers to use the communication channels that have been provided,” he said.
