IAAF World U20 Championships,Lalu Muhammad Zohri Wins 100m Finals

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian sprinting athlete Lalu Muhammad Zohri succeeded to snatch gold in the men’s 100 meter IAAF World U20 Championships in Tampere, Finland on Wednesday.
The West Nusa Tenggara athlete crossed the finish line in 10.18 seconds, defeating Anthony Schwartz and Eric Harrison from the United States that finished second and third.
Lalu Muhammad Zohri also succeeded to break his own previous national junior record of 10.25 seconds. His time in the U-20 athletic world cup of 10.18 seconds moves him closer to the national senior sprint record of 10.17 seconds.
“I am very proud of what I achieved today. This is truly extraordinary for me personally,” said Lalu as stated by the All Indonesian Athletics Association (PASI) Executive Board.
Lalu Muhammad Zohri also revealed that his participation and achievement in the U-20 IAAF World U20 Championships is part of his preparation for the upcoming 2018 Asian Games that is set to be held in Jakarta and Palembang.
