Jakarta Govt to Reap Rp40 Billion from Beer Company`s Dividend

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Beer Company Delta Djakarta, which is partially owned by the Jakarta Provincial Government are set to distribute its Rp208 billion dividend in cash. This is the company that Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan had promised to divest in the company during his campaign.
Delta Djakarta Tbk Financial Planning and Investor Relations Poltak Siahaan said that the company’s decision has been agreed through a shareholders meeting (RUPS) in 2018.
“The RUPS agreed on the use of Rp208 billion dividends from the company’s 2017 net profit,” said Poltak in a public expose event at Hotel Pullman yesterday.
Based on the company’s financial report in 2017, Delta Djakarta succeeded to retain a net worth of Rp279.7 billion. This is a 10.25 percent improvement compared to last year’s realization of Rp253.7 billion.
Jakarta Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno said that he has received the company’s work performance report for 2017. However, the deputy governor will conduct an internal review to determine the government’s position in the beer company’s portfolio.
“Last year we received a Rp40 billion dividend that will be paid in this RUPS,” said Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno.
Combined, the Jakarta Provincial Government owns 26.25 percent shares in Delta Djakarta since 1970.
