TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Director of PT Hutama Karya (Persero) I Gusti Ngurah Putra targets the Padang-Bukittinggi-Pekanbaru toll road to be completed in 2025.
The first phase construction starts from Padang-Sicincin along 28 kilometers of total length more than 244 kilometers has been done on last weekend by President Joko Widodo or Jokowi.
It was included in the list of national strategic projects (Presidental Regulation No. 58/2017).
“The first phase is Padang-Sicincin, Sicincin-Payakumbuh along 78 kilometers, Payakumbuh-Pangkalan along 45 kilometers, Pangkalan-Bangkinang along 56 kilometers, and finally Bangkinang-Pekanbaru along 37 kilometers,” said Putra.
He said that the total investment of Padang-Bukittinggi-Pekanbaru is Rp78.09 trillion. The first phase of Padang-Sicincin requires Rp4.88 trillion.
Specifically for Payakumbuh-Pangkalan, the funding is planned to be obtained from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) with a direct loan by Hutama Karya.
“Besides the direct lending, there will also a loan to the government specifically for the five tunnel construction with a total length of 8.95 kilometers,” said Putra.
Padang-Bukittinggi-Pekanbaru is part of the 24 toll roads on the Trans Sumatra. It was done by PT Hutama Karya through government assignment (Presidential Regulation No. 100/2014 & No. 117/2015).
