Tegal Mayor Nabbed in KPK Sting Operation

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Tegal Mayor Siti Mashita Soeparno has been nabbed in a sting operation launched by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) yesterday. The was arrest allegedly relates to the construction of a local hospital named Kardinah.

Tegal Mayor office has been sealed off by the KPK.

Tempo has been informed that aside from arresting Tegal Mayor Siti Mashita Soeparno, the KPK also nabbed Kardinah Hospital director Abdal Hakim.

The KPK also sealed off the office of Kardinah Hospital director yesterday evening.

Asked about the arrests, the KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah did not divulge details. “I have to make sure,” Febri told Tempo yesterday.
