Indonesia, Hungary Discuss Defense Technology Partnership

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Coordinating Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Minister Wiranto met with Hungarian Ambassador to Indonesia Judit Nemeth today to discuss a partnership in the field of technology.
“We talked about technology and technology transfer in the defense industry,” said Wiranto today.
The meeting between them lasted around 30 minutes. There were no talks about any offers or specific topics in the field of defense technology. However, Wiranto underlined that the technology that will be offered will be compatible with the Indonesian culture.
Indonesia has partnered with Hungary in several fields, such as the 2016 meeting where President Jokowi and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban held a bilateral meeting to ratify several MOUs.
Indonesia and Hungary partnered in the field of water management project in 34 districts across the country. Both countries have also worked in the field of renewable energy, information technology, digital economics, and agriculture.
