Police Will Question Hidayat Who Reported Jokowi Son Kaesang

TEMPO.CO, Bekasi - Muhamad Hidayat Situmorong (52) filed a police report against the youngest son of President Jokowi, Kaesang Pangarep. According to him, Kaesang has spread blasphemy and hate speech.
Bekasi Metro Police investigators scheduled a questioning session for Hidayat today but he declined the invitation. The questioning has been rescheduled to Friday, July 7.
According to Bekasi Metro Police Chief Comr. Hero Henrianto Bachtiar, police investigators need to be specifically informed about the hate speech that Hidayat is referring to. Therefore, he said that it is important for Hidayat to make an official statement which can be used as the basis of the investigation.

Muhamad Hidayat said that he received an official police summons from Bekasi Metro Police. The letter stated that he would be questioned by police investigators on Friday, July 5, at the local police headquarter.
Hidayat explained that he filed a police report against the owner of a Youtube channel `Kaesang’. The account uploaded a video with the title of #BapakMintaProyek. Muhamad Hidayat views that the video contains blasphemy and hate speech.
Muhamad Hidayat is referring to the word ndeso that was mentioned by Kaesang in the video, which he finds offensive and promotes hatred. Ndeso is an Indonesian slang word often used a joke which can be translated into tacky.
