TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Market Traders Association (IKAPPI) said that the material losses caused by Pasar Senen fire in Central Jakarta was estimated at Rp101.2 billion, with a total of 1,012 kiosks burned.
The IKAPPI chairman Abdullah Mansuri said that the average loss suffered by every kiosk was roughly Rp100 million, adding that the figure could be greater.

Jakarta administration will collect the data of traders who fall victim to the fire.
“We will collect the data of losses and ensure that all traders make the list. We will also deploy psychologists and medical teams,” Abdullah said.
Senen Market has caught fire nine times since 1974.
