Anton Castilani, head of the Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) of the National Police, said that the search and rescue (SAR) team has yet to find the victims of crashed police plane in Riau this morning. “SAR team is still conducting the search,” he told reporters via text message on Tuesday, December 6, 2016.
Anton said that the victims found on the first-day search could yet to be identified. This morning, he said, the DNA samples will be sent to Jakarta Police DNA lab.
M-28 Sky Truck Police plane crashed in the waters of Lingga District, Riau Islands, on Saturday, December 3. The plane carried air police service personnel assigned to new duties on Riau Islands and South Sumatra. The plane carried one pilot, five crews, and eight passengers.
