TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A voice suspected to belong Bahrun Naim, the suspected mastermind behind the recent attacks on Jalan Thamrin, Jakarta, was posted on an audio sharing website. "I do not go online very often. They thought I was communicating? [You must be joking]," the voice said.

Bahrun's family confirmed that the voice in the audio file was indeed Bahrun Naim's. "It is his voice," said Dahlan Zaim, Bahrun Naim's brother on Tuesday, January 19, 2016.

However, Dahlan stated that the context of the conversation was unclear. "The statement seemed to be cut," Dahlan said. Dahlan was certain that the original file is longer and might include other conversations.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian National Police is currently investigating whether the voice is indeed Bahrun Naim or not. "Whether the recording is real or not, we cannot confirm," said National Police Spokesman Insp. Gen. Anton Charliyan.
