TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-The Polish government is exploring investment opportunities in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, in the field of maritime, renewable energy, food and beverage, as well as health instruments.
Head of Trade and Investment Promotion Division of the Embassy of Poland Romuald Moraski said in Kupang, Tuesday, October 27, that Polish entrepreneurs are intrigued to invest in the region.
Moraski’s visit to Kupang is to follow-up a number of leading industry sectors which had been offered by Poland to Indonesia.
Poland is a potential business partner of Indonesia. Those industrial sectors offered to Indonesia including fishery and maritime, shipyard, and mining. Poland is a trade and investment key that is highly potential for Indonesia, said Moraski.
The meeting also discussed the possibility of infrastructure development cooperation covering harbor and airport technology, electricity, as well as water and waste processing. In the food and beverage sector, Poland offers fruits, chocolate juice, honey, meat, and dairy products.
Kupang Mayor Jonas Salean said the region is in need of investment in clean water and health services, as those two aspects are greatly needed by the people of Kupang.
