Popcon Asia 2015 Books Rp 25 Billion of Transaction

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Asia's largest pop-culture festival Popcon Asia 2015, booked an amazing Rp 25 billion of transaction value from August 7, to August 9, 2015. Grace Kusnadi, Revata CEO and initiator of Popcon Asia said that the amount of transaction value booked during the event is proof enough that the Indonesian market appreciates local creators.
"The transaction value in Popcon Asia 2015 during the three-day event is estimated to reach Rp 25 billion," Grace said on Monday, August 10, 2015.
More than 37,000 visitors were enjoying the works of 214 creators from Indonesia and 11 other countries including France, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines. "Popcon Asia will be a hub for Indonesian creator and prepare them to enter the global market," said Grace.
One of the attractions that captures the attention of the visitors was Suryaraka, Indonesia's first motion comic about the history of the Majapahit Empire. Suryakarya was a collaboration project between Kosmik Publishing and Layaria.com, which are managed by Indonesian actor Dennis Adhiswara, and JTOKU, a Yogyakarta-based media company.
