TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Sr. Comm. Gen. Budi Waseso, Chief of the National Police's Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim), said that the Bareskrim will continue its investigation on the alleged defamation charges filed by judge Sarpin Rizaldi against the head of the Judicial Commission (KY), who will be summoned after Eid al-Fitr.
"We will summon [KY officials] after Eid al-Fitr. It can be next week or next month. We'll see," said Budi on Friday, July 17, 2015.
Budi said that the decision to summon KY chief Suparman Marzuki and commissioner Taufiqurrahman Syahuri after Eid al-Fitri was taken to adjust with the schedule of Bareskrim investigators, and was not based on requests made by Suparman or Taufiqurrahman. "Of course not. We cannot be ordered around. We do it when the time is right," Budi said.
