TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - AirAsia airline announced that it would make improvements to its reservation and passenger management system on July 10 and 11, 2024. Prospective passengers are advised to self check-in and arrive early before departure during the maintenance.
Head of Indonesia Affairs and Policy, Indonesia AirAsia Eddy Krismeidi said the maintenance aims to improve booking experience and efficiency. “AirAsia is always committed to delivering the best service for its passengers. Hence, regular system improvements must be conducted to ensure smooth services," said Eddy in a written statement, on Friday, July 5, 2024.
This maintenance is scheduled for 8 hours starting at 06:00 p.m. (GMT+7) on the 10th of July until 02:00 a.m. (GMT+7) the next day.
During this period, AirAsia advises all prospective passengers to take the following steps to ensure a smooth journey:
- Self Check-In
All passengers, including group bookings and connecting flights, are strongly advised to self-check in via the AirAsia MOVE application (formerly AirAsia Superapp), which is available for a maximum of 14 days before the scheduled departure time.
- Arrive Early
All passengers, especially those with group bookings, limited mobility, and special needs, are expected to arrive at the airport at least three hours earlier than the scheduled departure. The system upgrade will affect check-in services and baggage drop-off at all airports where AirAsia operates.
- Use E-Boarding Pass
Download the E-Boarding Pass from the AirAsia MOVE application and save it in your digital wallet or smartphone to ease the boarding process.
- Update Contact Details
Prospective passengers will be notified via email and SMS text message during the maintenance. Make sure to update your contact details to receive the latest notifications on your flight status with AirAsia.
AirAsia flight booking, booking management, web check-in, flight and hotel booking, issuing and redeeming AirAsia Rewards points, payment processing for existing bookings, as well as purchasing additional packages, including online duty-free, will not be available during this period.
Meanwhile, all other services on the AirAsia MOVE app and airasia.com will not be affected.
AirAsia flight tickets can be booked via the AirAsia MOVE application, the airasia.com website, online travel agents, and other official travel agents.
To order tickets for groups of 10 people or more, prospective passengers can contact the AirAsia Group Desk service via email to groupbooking_id@airasia.com.
