TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe head of the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) Police General Commissioner, Budi Waseso, said there were no directives from President Jokowi to improve synergies between agencies after two commissioners of the Judicial Commission (KY) named as a suspect. Because, he said, the conflict between Judge Sarpin with KY was not a conflict between institutions.

"I say this is not the institution or organization, but between the informerswho happen to Mr. Sarpin himself, with reported that happen to KY," he said before following the breaking the fast at the State Palace on Monday, July 13.

Because defamation was a crime on complaint, said Budi, then both parties could be reconciled. With the provision that Judge Sarpin will revoke its report.

"Go ahead from both sides, because this private matter," he said.

However, Budi asserted that the police were not in the capacity to encourage a peaceful way between Sarpin with KY. Liabilities Police were investigating the case.

By law, Budi judged that defamation cases were reported by Sarpin have qualified. Therefore, Bareskrim could determine the status of a suspect on the Judicial Commission Chairman Suparman Marzuki and Commissioner KY Taufiqurrahman Syahuri.

"Legally fulfilled its elements, but later proved in the process," said Budi.

As is known, the Chairman of the Judicial Commission Suparman Marzuki and Commissioner of the Judicial Commission Taufiqurrahman Syahuri, named as a suspect in a case of defamation of judges Sarpin Rizaldi. It was following Sarpin reporting on him to Bareskrim police in March.

Judge Sarpin felt criticism from KY related pretrial ruling made had made his reputation tainted.
