TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Abraham "Lulung" Lunggana, former coordinator of Commission E at the Jakarta Regional Representatives Council (DPRD), handed over a number of files to the National Police's Criminal Investigation Directorate.
"I voluntarily handed over the files to help with police investigation," Lulung said on Thursday, June 25, 2015.
Lulung said that the files were related to procurement of uninterrupted power supply units, printers and scanners in the Jakarta Regional Budget.
"Based on the DPRD's evaluation, the procurement was carried out by the Jakarta Administration," Lulung added.
Lulung claimed that Jakarta Governor Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama played an important role in approving procurement projects. Therefore, Lulung said, the Jakarta administration must be held accountable for the UPS case.
Earlier, Lulung had undergone two questionings over the UPS case and a probe related to printers and scanners procurement case. Lulung testified that the project was initiated by Alex Usman, the head of Facilities at the West Jakarta Secondary Education Agency.
According to Lulung, the case is also linked to the graft allegation surrounding the UPS procurement project at the DPRD.
