TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Party, dancing, and clubbing at cafe, bar, pubs, or discotheques becomes too mainstream compared to the sensation of having party inside a luxury bus among Jakarta’s traffic congestion. Deisy Wong Will is the owner of Royale VIPS Bus Jakarta who turned a bus into a cool party and dancing room.
The bus’ interior is decorated with custom-made interior that is fancied by party-goers. It is provided with a set of surround-sound speaker system, LED flat TV, karaoke machine, pole dance, disco lamps, bar fridge, and toilet.
Curtains are provided around the bus to guarantee privacy. There is a partition between the party room and driver’s room but an intercom is available to communicate with the driver. Deisy said thet such luxury service has become a demand in big cities around the world.
“Even more in Jakarta. We spend so much time to get trapped in the traffic jam,” Deisy said in a press release.
For more enjoyment, the bus’ capacity is limited to 20 to 25 people and it is driven along the requested routes.
“It is suitable for those who want to hold a wedding party, birthday party, bachelor party, or for sport teams,” said Firman Saputra, a Marketing Staff of Royale VIP Bus when contacted on Thursday, April 2.
Smoking is not allowed inside the bus to avoid fire or accident caused by smoking. The bus is currently only available for booking via phone 021-98792877 and at the Royale VIP office on Jl. Pejaten IV No 6, South Jakarta. ‘Free ride’ is not available as the bus puts exclusivity as priority.
The cost for the ride is ranging from Rp2 million to Rp8.5 million depending on the traveled distance. Minimum tariff is applied for three-hour ride and maximum tariff is applied for 15-hour ride and on weekends.
The special bus has been operating since the late 2014 and have now going around Jakarta up to 3 to 4 times a week.
