TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Vice President Jusuf "JK" Kalla spoke of the recent internal clash between the two opposing sides of the Functional Group Party (Golkar). JK, who is a former chairman of Golkar, suggested that the two opposing sides, Aburizal Bakrie and Agung Laksono, should not resort to violence.
JK said that the conflict only gives bad influence to the party's reputation. Therefore, he urged both sides of the dispute to cool down.
On Monday, Agung Laksono's Golkar breached the Golkar faction office. "We would like to invite Ade Komaruddin and Bambang Soesatyo in a dialogue," said Secretary of Agung Laksono's Golkar, Fayakun Adriadi, when breaching the office. "We come in peace. Do we look like we are going to start a war?"
On the other hand, Bambang Soesatyo from Aburizal Bakrie's Golkar contacted Deputy Chief of the National Police, Commissioner General Badrodin Haiti, to ask for help when Agung's Golkar breach the faction office.
