TEMPO.CO, London - UEFA President Michael Platini proposed a new sanction for any players dare to protest the referee, the white card. Instead of brandishing the old and familiar yellow card, referee will award the player with a white card.
Having received a white card, the player will have to leave the pitch for 10 minutes, before being allowed to return to the pitch and play again. Platini said that it should not serve the same purpose as yellow cards. However, he emphasized that the white card remains a notion to discuss, before any attempts to realize it.
Moreover, Platini also proposed another change of rule, particularly on substitutes. He said that the number of substitute allowed per official game should be five times, instead of three.
