TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Deputy chief of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Bambang Widjojanto said the commission planned to cooperate with multiple parties to manage the businesses of assets impounded by the KPK.
Bambang said that the profits gained from the businesses can be channeled to the nation.
"We are canvassing possible cooperation with other institutes in terms of asset management. Therefore, the [impounded] assets can be managed properly and its profit can be handed to the nation," he said.
Bambang added the KPK had been in talks with several asset management institutes, including Asset Management Company, the Directorate General of Treasury of the Finance Ministry and State-owned Enterprises Ministry. He added these institutions had the capabilities to manage the seized assets properly.
"KPK cannot do everything at once. For asset management, we are assessing cooperation with those institutions," he said. "The profit will be 100 percent for the nation."
